Album Cover Research

After looking at well known album covers we came up with some more creative different idea's, and decided to use a member of our group to star on the front to make it more personal and relate more to 'our' music video, we are going to use Kanye West's 4th album '808'S and HeartBreak the album cover features Kaws artwork. Kaws is a well known graffiti artist.

We began to put ideas together of a mock cover for the album.


We thought we would develop this in different ways:
~ Using our own images as it is our own interpretation
~ Promoting the themes that are in the video such as graffiti, retro styles and colours
~ Using the performers
~ possible skate borders

Graffiti Theme

We found a colourful location of graffiti which we thought would be a brilliant location choice, also using this to link into your skate park location.

Costume Choices

Our costume choices were succesfull as different costumes realted to the different locations and image we wanted to portray.

This particualer brand of shoes is asociated with skating, we decided to these shoes in the location of the skating park.

In certain part of the lyrics "here's a towel, wipe your face" we decided to incorperate this into the mise en scene, developing on this idea by adding stars on the side of her face.




For the party atmosphere we decide to wear fashionable and/or colourful clothing, also relating your our inspiration such as Kanye West and Rihanna in our costume research. The boys dressed tredy wearing plad tshirts and geek sheek glasses. Sinead chose in clothing links into to show her vonerability, linking into to lyrics.

We wanted to incorperate the women' s bathroom as we decided on have various shots of shoes walking in and out of toilet stalls, relating to our chosen artist N.E.R.D's music video. We developed on this idea and used our own shoes as props, this was done since it wasn't possible to get multiple extras on short notice.

Changes In Production

We planned to film at various locations but there was complications with getting permission in these intended places; The ideas that were successful were: Text on screen, Multiple lip pictures and the Skate Park.

We now decided to film at Loreto College as we are sure we can all meet here successfully, We will be adding new ideas that link to the fast paced rhythm of the song.

Instead of filming the atmosphere of a club, we decide with the right lighting we would use a dance studio as our party atmosphere.
